Born in 1998 in rural Japan, Aoi Mori grew up surrounded by shifting seasonal scenery, quiet natural landscapes and traditional Japanese living aesthetics, which deeply shaped her unique wabi-sabi artistic temperament. After studying fine arts and traditional Japanese design, she developed a subtle visual language that bridges classic oriental aesthetics and modern contemporary art. Her creation is grounded in restraint, delicate observation, and sincere respect for natural textures and the transience of all things.

 

Inspiration:

Aoi Mori finds inspiration in ephemeral natural scenes and time-worn trivialities: morning mist that fades gradually, withered plant textures, faint light and shadow changes, and the subtle traces left by time on daily objects. Influenced by Zen philosophy, traditional Japanese aesthetics and minimalist creation concepts, she discovers unique beauty not in perfect and neat forms, but in incomplete, fleeting and warm trivial moments. Her works are gentle meditations on stillness, transience and the quiet elegance of imperfection.
